Our story

From a young age, I was captivated by the art of sewing and creating. My grandmother crafted wedding dresses for a living, and my mother made much of my clothing while I was growing up. Their dedication to detail and artistry inspired me deeply, and when I received my first sewing machine at just eight years old, a lifelong passion was born.

Those early experiences instilled in me a true appreciation for craftsmanship and the joy of making something meaningful by hand. Over the years, I’ve immersed myself in many hobbies—sewing, gardening, arts and crafts, and even golfing with my husband. Each of these passions has shaped the way I see creativity and balance in life, and they’ve helped me find ways to blend together the things I love.

That journey led to the creation of bcknhobbs—a name inspired by my family nickname “Beck” and my love of hobbies. Also known as b&h—a series of small batch collections.
